Erin Stephenson & Brian Shea

Erin Stephenson is a McMinnville, Oregon native whose passion for travel is eclipsed only by a love for her hometown. After growing up in McMinnville, Erin headed south to the University of Oregon where she earned degrees in history and English. Her college years were punctuated with international adventures that eventually gave way to extended travels in Europe after she earned her degree in 2001. She returned home to McMinnville dreaming of opening a small hotel some day, but focusing her career in the nonprofit sector.

After serving as an Americorp VISTA volunteer Erin was hired as Executive Director of McMinnville Area Habitat for Humanity, a position she held for five years before taking a post managing the charitable giving programs for a local bank. While Erin loved working with local non-profits, she was still nurturing the dream of a hotel, so in 2010 she launched 3rd Street Flats, a boutique lodging company in downtown McMinnville. The company has since grown to include two locations.

Erin continues to indulge her passion for nonprofit work through her role as board chair of Visit McMinnville, volunteers with Linfield College and is on the Regional Leadership Council for the Oregon Community Foundation. She was named Business Leader of the Year in 2015 by the McMinnville Area Chamber of Commerce. Erin and her husband Travis live in McMinnville with their two young sons and two obnoxious but loveable dogs.

Brian Shea - Live McMinnville, LLC

Brian Shea grew up in Salem, Oregon, as a city boy but fell in love with the great outdoors when he married a McMinnville native and moved to her hometown. After earning a degree in graphic design from Oregon State University and spending several years operating his own design firm in Newport Beach, California, Brian was ready to leave big city living behind for the charms of small town life.

After returning to Oregon Brian re-shifted his career from graphic design to real estate, taking on both commercial and residential projects. His knowledge of commercial real estate, great design aesthetic and entrepreneurial nature made him the perfect choice for Erin when she decided to take on a partner and focus on growing 3rd Street Flats. Since coming on board full-time with the company Brian has helped the business grow to a second location, and has taken a leadership role managing the commercial real estate holding company that he and Erin helped create.

Over the past 15 years Brian has wholeheartedly embraced life in McMinnville, and in his spare time enjoys playing the role of the gentlemen woodsmen, hunting ducks and geese and nurturing a giant garden. He lives in McMinnville with his wife Dianne, their son and daughter, and his faithful hunting companion, Remy.

Rob Stephenson - Odd Fellows Building, LLC

Rob Stephenson was raised in Pasadena, California and spent his formative years splitting time between the east and west coasts before falling in love with McMinnville, Oregon while attending Linfield College. Inspired by Oregon’s beautiful natural landscape, Rob went on to receive a post baccalaureate degree in landscape architecture from Oregon State in 1977 before founding a long-thriving landscape design, construction and maintenance firm.

For over 30 years Rob worked with businesses and individuals to create beautiful exterior landscapes throughout McMinnville and the surrounding area.

In 2004 Rob decided to narrow his focus to his true passion and launched Rob Stephenson Landscape Design. He continues to serve as chair of the Landscape Review Committee for the City of McMinnville, a position he’s held for over 30 years. Through years of experience in the industry he has developed a keen eye for drawing plans for residential, commercial and industrial properties. Ever-inclusive and drawn to artistic form, Rob is a founding member of the McMinnville Committee for Public Art and part of the city’s Wayfinding Committee.

When Rob is not busy working on a design he can be found playing tennis, swimming or exploring his extensive collection of Grateful Dead records. Rob lives in McMinnville with his wife, Linda.

Jeb Bladine a McMinnville native, has newspapers in his blood and a lifelong passion for family, friends and his hometown community. He attended Linfield College, graduated from the University of Oregon and spent eight months at an extraordinary business school in upper New York State where he rode the Lake Placid bobsled and learned to ski on tiny Mt. Pisgah. Those lessons served him well for 15 years of downhill skiing in Oregon and the West, except for one 1984 incident that required a midnight Life Flight home and emergency hip surgery the next morning.

Jeb is one of those “work is his play, play is his work” kind of guys, still active as president and publisher of the family newspaper/printing business. During his 47 years with the News-Register Publishing Co., aka Oregon Lithoprint, Inc., he has accumulated great memories and occasional honors from a ridiculous array of social, civic, media, business, political, family and recreational activities – the latter including annual fishing trips in Oregon and Alaska, music, photography, and beach time at Pacific City.

Ossie, Jeb’s son, is fourth generation family newspaper editor; daughter Chelsey runs her own printing company behind the newspaper; and Jeb and wife Michelle enjoy the picturesque home they built northwest of McMinnville while talking about taking more time for travels.
